  2. 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami (South Asia) On the 26th of December a tsunami caused by an earthquake hit South Asia leaving a trail of destruction. The recorded death toll was 227,898 making it one of the worst known natural disasters.

  3. Hurricane Sandy (North East America 2012) Hurricane Sandy developed from a tropical wave in the western Caribbean Sea on October 22. Many buildings were damaged.

  4. Black Saturday (Victoria 2009) Black Saturday was a series of bush fires across Victoria in 2009. They were caused by the extremely hot temperature and wind.

North American Ice Storm(1998) Ice Storms are very common in north America and Canada 1998 brought one of the worst storms people had seen before. 12.7 centimetres (five inches) of freezing rain fell over 80 hours, crystallising on anything it touched, taking down power lines, felling trees and making roads impassable everywhere.

  6. Queensland Flooding(2011) In 2011 the Queensland floods forces thousands of people to have to evacuate their homes. Many houses and buildings were ruined by flood water.
