  2. The Georgia Department of Education has several opportunities for students to investigate to find the best fit. They are under a program called College Credit Now, otherwise known as Dual Enrollment.

  3. Why consider Dual Enrollment? • Provides opportunities for students to obtain high school and college credit simultaneously. • Dual enrolled courses eases the transition from high school to college. • Provides students an early start on their college careers. • Saves students and parents money.

  4. Why NOT Dual Enrollment? There are many advantages for dual enrollment. However, it is not the right fit for everyone. • It best fits the student who is TRULY ready to be a college student. • Being enrolled in college and high school at the same time can make it difficult to be active on the high school campus and other high school activities. • You are not in school with friends on a daily basis. • Colleges admissions prefer AP courses over Dual Enrollment courses.
