  3. Your existing account balances in the Old Platform will remain in those TIAA-CREF funds unless you choose to move your money out of the Old Platform and into the options in the New Platform. There are restrictions associated with the TIAA Traditional Annuity. • New investment options within the New Platform will be available for selection in late September, and your first contributions will use these new options in October. • If you do nothing, your future contributions will be invested in an age-based TIAA-CREF Lifecycle Fund beginning with your October contribution.

You will receive the following communications to keep you informed of the plan enhancements. • By September 1st, Cary Academy will mail a 404(a) Plan Change Notice to your home address detailing the plan’s enhancements. • TIAA-CREF will mail welcome kits through the US Mail the week of September 15th. • It is imperative that you log onto the TIAA-CREF (www.tiaa-cref.org) site to ensure that your mailing address and personal details are up-to-date. As part of this transition, Cary Academy will have a dedicated microsite from which you can obtain details about the platform, in general, and access your account. • Beginning in October, the old platform will no longer accept contributions, and all new contributions will be processed into the new platform.
