  3. Location • Wolverines are located in Canada, Alaska, northern Europe, and northern Asia. • The yellow on the map represents where the wolverines live

  4. History With Humans • The history between humans and wolverines involve wolverines being hunted and trapped for their valuable fur.

  5. Status • Wolverines are called vulnerable by the IUCN Red List in 2007 • Wolverines have been protective status in several regions

  6. Habitat • Wolverines need a lot of room to live. • There habitats include remote forests, taiga and tundra

  7. Food Chain • Wolverine are omnivores, they eat rabbits, rodents , some can even kill caribou if they are injured or sick. • Wolverines are also scavengers, they eat the dead corpses of larger animals. • They are also hunted by larger animals like bears and wolves

  8. Interesting Facts • If a wolverine was the size of a bear it would be the strongest animal on the planet. • A cougar would back away from a wolverine if challenged for a carcass • It is the largest member of the weasel • Wolverines can smell food under snow
