Why To Use Twitter • Twitter is a fun, quirky, and simple way to connect with friends, celebrities, bands, businesses, sports teams and players, and many others! • You can find out what your friends are doing, what celebrities are thinking, where bands are playing, what shops are selling, and what teams are winning!

How To Use Twitter • Create your account with username, and then update your profile info/picture/background/etc. • The first thing you should do it TWEET! • At Replies – A way to tweet at another Twitter account • Hashtags – Can be used to connect a tweet with many others of the same subject • ReTweets – A way to “forward” someone else’s tweet onto your own profile.

  4. Examples • Celebrity – Barack Obama, Martha Stewart, MC Hammer, Purdue Red Ranger • Bands/Labels - Lady Gaga, Bear In Heaven, Polyvinyl Records • Business – Black Sparrow Pub, Hot Box Pizza Southwest Airlines • Sports – Purdue Sports, Cleveland Cavaliers, Shaq
