  6. Executive Positions • SGA President • SGA Vice President • SGA Secretary • SGA Treasurer • HAB Chair • Student Conduct Council Chair • Academic Policy Board Chair (ACPOL) • Appeal Board Chair • Honor Court Chair

  7. SGA President • Duties: • Plan and execute SGA training in the fall. • Give a student speech at Opening Convocation, Road to Commencement, and serve as the Master of ceremonies on tinker day. • Serves as chair of Roundtable. • Also serves under the following: serve as a member of the elections committee, a member of appointment board, a member of emergency appointment board, and give a weekly correspondence update to senate. • Can also serve as an optional member of treasury board. • Can make temporary appointments for vacant SGA Positions • Serves as a liaison between the President, Board of Trustees and the student body. Also attends Board of Trustee meetings where she gives a report on student concerns and activities. • Meets with the advisor or roundtable and the president at least once a month. • Also responsible for creating a report on the years’ activities to be submitted to the SGA Archives Current SGA President: Kyra Orr

  8. SGA Vice President • Duties: • Serve as the chair of Senate to execute the following duties: Hold senate cabinet meetings as needed, reserve Babcock Auditorium for senate meetings, prepare senate agenda, execute Senate thoroughly and follow up on any student concerns, etc. • Serve as a member of appointment board, emergency appointment board, and as Vice Chair of the Constitutional Review Committee. • Serves in the capacity of the president in the event of absence, removal, resignation, or by request of the president. • Serves as a liaison to the Alumnae Board by giving reports of student activities and concerns. • Aids in creating a report on the year’s activities to be submitted to the SGA Archives.   9. SGA Secretary • Duties • Serves as the chair of the Election Committee and Appointment Board. • Responsible for monitoring all campaign activities. • Responsible for conducting SGA Elections, Class Officer Elections and Appointments. • Responsible for maintaining the SGA Office. • Takes minutes during Roundtable . Current SGA Secretary: Kate Carpenter

  10. SGA Treasurer • Duties: • Serve as the Chair of treasury Board as well as the principal financial agent for the association. • Works with the Business Office to distribute funds in accordance with the budget approved by Senate each spring. • Coordinates activities on treasury board. • Oversees all financial proceedings of all SGA Clubs and Organizations. • Holds a mandatory Club orientation session, in conjuction with the Club Coordinator, in the fall of every year. • Receives all written requests for extra budgetary allotments of SGA organization in accordance with Treasury Board protocol Current SGA Treasurer: Ashley Allen

  11. HAB Chair • Duties: • Chairs and serves as parliamentarian of weekly HAB meetings as well as maintaining attendance records for meetings and events. • Responsible for coordinating training for the members of HAB, to occur before the semester begins. • In charge of scheduling and notifying members of weekly meetings • Serves as a voting member in Roundtable and Senate, and meets with the Director of Student Activities and Organizations and the Events coordinator as needed. • Serves as a member of Appointment Board. • Responsible for keeping an overall ledger detailing the finances of HAB, as well as updating the master calendar.   12. Student Conduct Council Chair • Duties: • Calls and presides over all hearings and meetings of the Student Conduct Council. • Communicates hearing discussions to the accused, the complainant, and the Dean of Students, or her proxy. • Works in conjunction with the Appeal Board Chair, Honor Court Chair, and the Dean of Students to review cases and assign them to the appropriate hearing body. • May co-chair all recall and resignation processes. • Attends Senate and Roundtable weekly.   13. ACPOL Chair • Duties: • Calls and presides over all meetings of the Student Academic Policy Board. • Serves as a member of the Faculty Committee on Academic Policy and they Academic Affairs Council. • Serves as the key student administrator for the independent exam system. • Also serves as a member of Appointment Board. • Meets with the Vice President of Academic Affairs as needed as well as serve as the primary student liaison to the faculty regarding academic issues.   14. Appeal Board Chair • Duties: • Call and reside over all hearings and meetings of the Appeal Board, including parking ticket appeals and appealed Honor Court or Student Conduct Council cases. • Serves as chair of the Constitutional Review Committee and lead all endeavors involving constitutional interpretation. • Works in conjunction with the Honor Court Chair, Student Conduct Council Chair and the Dean of students to review cases and assign them to the appropriate hearing body. • Serves as a member of appointment board. • Responsible for communicating students’ concerns about parking issues to the Director of Campus Safety. Honor Court Chair • Duties: • Calls and presides over all hearings and meetings of the Honor Court. • Communicates the hearing decisions to the accused, the complainant, and the Dean of Students. • Works in conjunction with the Appeal Board Chair, Student Conduct Council chair, and the Dean of Students to review cases and assign them to the appropriate hearing body. • May co-chair recall and resignation processes. • Also serves as a member of Appointment Board and Elections Committee.
