  15. The Food + Beverage Management Association FBMA The Food + Beverage Management Association (FBMA) Germany was founded in 1974. For nearly forty years the FBMA provides its members with a platform for information, networking opportunities, exchange of experience and training. Its prime objective is to strengthen the performance and raise the image of the professionals in the hospitality industry as well as to promote young professionals. The FBMA program includes seminars, workshops, trend / concept tours in combination with social gatherings on both national and regional level. Objectives Activities Members FBMA members are restaurant and hotel owners and managers, F & B managers, young professionals as well as consultants focusing on the industry. Associate members are companies providing goods and services for the industry. Membership categories range from full, associate, junior, senior and honorary. The FBMA Germany is divided into five regions each headed by a regional director and his deputy. Up to three meetings are organized within each region. Meetings on national level are organized in spring and autumn bringing together the members from all areas as well as friends and guests of FBMA. The board of directors consists of the president, vice-president, treasurer, five regional directors as well as the speaker of the associated member (industry partners). Organization

  17. The Food + Beverage Management Association FBMA Stiftung: FBMA was the first trade association to found it’s own welfare foundation in 1993. Objectives of the FBMA-Stiftung are the promotion of science, of culture and education in the hospitality and foodservice industry as well as environmental protection by creation and conservation of healthy environmental conditions. Award BrillatSavarin-Plakette: Since its foundation FBMA Stiftung has initiated and supported a wide range of projects in line with its objectives. In 2006 the FBMA Stiftung took over the honourable task to award outstanding personalities in the industry with the highly recognized “BrillatSavarinPlakette”. This lifetime achievement award, named after the French philosopher and gourmet BrillatSavarin, dates back to 1955. The long list of award winners reads like the ‘who is who’ of the hospitality and foodservice industry for the past sixty years. Hospitality Management School: In 2007 the FBMA Stiftung founded the Hospitality Management School (HMS) together with Leaders Club Germany, an association of innovative entrepreneurs in the foodservice industry, and the WIHOGA hotel management college based in Dortmund. The HMS offers educational programs focused on the demands of day to day-business for staff members as well as young executives in middle and upper management. Its objective is to increase professionalism in the industry and support young professionals with skills for their career.

MALAYSIAN FOOD & BEVERAGEEXECUTIVES ASSOCIATION IN THE INDUSTRY FOR THE INDUSTRY Objective Set up in 1988, The Malaysian Food & Beverage Executives Association (MFBEA) represents the interest of F&B professionals in the Malaysian hospitality field. Its prime objective is to upgrade the standards and raise the image of the industry and the professionals. Part of the associations programs includes charity events, seminars, mocktail competitions, etiquette workshops, education trips and F&B fests which are organized annually. Monthly meetings are also held for members to network and receive updates. Membership categories range from honorary to fellow, full, ordinary, associate and student. To provide innovative services, resources and representation designed for the success of our members, we embrace the philosophy of “The Power Of Many”. While each member's contribution is unique, collectively we create a powerful unified voice for our cause and concerns. “Every man owes part of his time and money to the business or industry which is engaged.
