Analyzing Pt-dependence of signals in Pt range of 0.15-2.0 GeV/c and 0.10-100 GeV/c across different Pt regions. Experimental results show strong signals above 0.6 GeV/c, while no signal below that. Independent confirmation required.

Pt Study of the P violation Signals Vasily Dzhordzhadze Parity Group Teleconference January 29, 2009 1
Goal of the Study • Pt dependence of the signal • Pt cut : 0.15 – 2.0 GeV/c • Pt cut : 0.10 – 100. GeV/c • Compare signal for different Pt regions • 0.15 – Ptb to Ptb -2.0 GeV/c • Ptb = 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 GeV/c 2
Run 4, AuAu 200 GeV, 14 M events Cut: 0.15<Pt<2.0 GeV/c Pt, GeV/c
Summary • In experiment no signal for Pt < 0.6 GeV/c • Strong signals for Pt> 0.6 GeV/c • Pt < 0.6 GeV/c ~ 40% of total stat. - no Signal • Pt > 0.6 GeV/c ~ 14% of total stat. - stromg deviations • Cross regions ~ 46% of total stat. - not analysed • Independent confirmation of the observation is needed! • An Explanation ? 16
