  2. Why Cite? Citations, whether for print or electronic resources, should include all of the information necessary for the reader to locate it. Because of the ever-changing nature of online resources, more information should be provided than is provided when citing print resources.

  3. Formatting Guidelines of Work Cited Your Responsibility • Use an acceptable size & font (12 pt., Times New Roman, Arial, or Courier) • Title of the list should be: Works Cited (do not underline) • Double space all entries • Begin the first line of each entry at the margin and indent subsequent lines 1 tab or 5 spaces • All sources are arranged in alphabetical order by the author’s, editor’s, translator’s name, or by title if no author is given • Do not put in categories, do not number • Place at the end of your essay or report

  4. Formatting Guidelines of Work Cited EasyBib.com’s Responsibility • Record full first names as they appear in the document • Use shortened form of publishers’ names. Omit such terms as ‘Publishing’, ‘Company’, ‘Limited, etc.) • Capitalize first word and significant words in entry • Titles should be in italics or underlined (be consistent, check with your teacher for preferred style) • Abbreviate all months except May, June, and July
