Aims:to sum up the pupils knowledge about history of film making industry; to give additional information and to active pupils’ speaking skills on the topic “Cinema”

First, it was a little city with orange forest and great weather. But, one day in 1908 a group of people from Chicago came to Los Angeles to shoot (make) a film. Since that day a lot of directors, producers, actors and thousands of other workers have been coming to Los Angeles.

  24. IV. Practice. Cinema serves as a form of entertainment, which is important to us. But is entertainment the only purpose of films? Use the verb phrases in your answers: give much information about…; tell us about…; teach us…; make us…; influence our behavior… ets.

  27. 3. Working with the text. Read the text… The Devil wears Prada' is a good comedy drama based on a novel by Lauren Weisberger. The movie is set in the busy offices of a New York Publishing House and focuses on a college graduatewho takes a job as an assistant at a top fashion magazine. She believes it is the first step towards becoming a serious journalist, but things don't turn out to be quite so simple. Her newboss is ruthless, bad and determined to make her life a living hell. The acting in the film is nice. Anne Hathaway is convincing as the naive young assistant, but it's Meryl Streep that steals the show with a good performance asthe bad boss. The plot can be a little boring at times but thereare plenty of laughs to make up for that. All in all, The Devil wears Pradais a good film and really funny. If you only see one film this year, thisshould be it!

  30. The 20th century may be called the century of film making. Today cinema is very popular and available kind of art.

  31. The development of science and film making industry let people watch films not only at the cinema. Watching films has become an important part of our lives.

  32. If you are not a cinema goer, you can stay at home and watch a film on TV or a videofilm, or DVD film. But if you are a computer fan you can watch different films on the internet.
