  17. Deck:- • It is an organizational & navigational unit. • Watch standing, maintenance of ship’s hull, accommodation & safety appliances. • Loading and unloading activities.

  18. Engine:- • Smooth functioning of the technical part of the ship. • Operate & Maintain propulsion.

  19. Petty Officer -Independent people on the ship.. -Fitter. -BOSUN. -Pump man. -Electrical officer. -Welder.

  20. DECK DEPARTMENT Salaries per month Deck Cadet – Rs. 12,000 – 18000/- Third Officer –Rs. 90,000 – 1,25,000/- Second Officer – Rs.1,25,000 – 2,00,000/- Chief Officer – Rs. 2,50,000 – 4,00,000/- Captain –Rs.3,00,000 – 5,00,000/-
