Brownsea Island: The adventure was to complete 24 challenges in 24 hours. Believe me this was not as easy as it sounds! So with 16 of you and 4 adults we set off on our travels down to the south coast to sandbanks, and we had to catch a boat to Brownsea Island. Brownsea Island.

  1. Brownsea Island: The adventure was to complete 24 challenges in 24 hours. Believe me this was not as easy as it sounds! So with 16 of you and 4 adults we set off on our travels down to the south coast to sandbanks, and we had to catch a boat to Brownsea Island. Brownsea Island

  2. This was our tiny boat When we got to the quay it was already night time and it was very dark.

  3. When we got to the other side we were made to walk over 1 mile in the dark to the Lodge. The lodge was quite nice but the toilets were outside!

  4. Torch tag: we walked into a large dark field and had to catch the other team by shinning torches points were awarded per person caught. By the time we had unpacked, cooked and eaten dinner it was past 10pm. We had four challenges to complete that night. We only managed one! RED TEAM 200 BLUE TEAM 175

  5. We gave up as it was way past midnight and we were very tired, we still had 23 challenges left to do! In the morning we woke to this and we knew it was going to be a better day!

  8. 2nd challenge was to make some pottery of Brownsea, I got over excited and was deducted 10 points for the blue team but we won 100!! RED TEAM 200 BLUE TEAM 265

  9. 3rd challenge a Biyst Puzzle involving numbers Mrs Dain would be proud of our quick thinking! Blues won 100 points but Red’s won 50 bonus points! RED TEAM 250 BLUE TEAM 365

  10. 4th challenge Archery with our lovely guides Amanda and Trevor. Reds 350 Blues 450! RED TEAM 600 BLUE TEAM 815

  11. 5th - 7th challenges survival, orienteering & semaphore Red team won semaphore, blues won survival & orienteering but reds won bonus points! RED TEAM 750BLUE TEAM 1015

  12. We headed back out on the boat to Poole where we completed more challenges. So far Blue Team were winning by 265 points!! RED TEAM 750BLUE TEAM 1015

  13. 8th – 13th challenges were: murder mystery trail where we had to solve the murder around Poole Quay, a shopping spree where we had to buy 26 items beginning with a different letter of the alphabet with only £15, we had to find 78 cockles on a trail, try to catch a crab, a scavenger hunt and feely box challenge.

  14. Blue team managed to scoop 220 for the shopping spree (very proud that I found a ZZ top record for £2.50 and a fake poo for £1!) 100 points for all the cockles, no crab, 335 for the scavenger hunt and 175 for the feely box! A total of 830 points! Red team won 100 for the murder mystery, 200 points for the shopping spree with a bonus of 50 points but lost 20 for being 20 minutes late! 100 points for all the cockles, no crab, but 285 for the scavenger hunt and 50 for the feely box. A total of 765! Red’s are catching up….

  16. We had fish and chips in Poole park and then headed back to the Island for more challenges. We are past half way still a way to go!! RED TEAM 1515BLUE TEAM 1845

  17. 14h – 17th Challenges: Another late night gone midnight before we finished! Space hopper race, capture the flag, star gazing and hole in one all in the dark!! Red’s won 250 points for capture the flag & hole in one, Blue’s won 175 points for space hopper race & hole in one. RED TEAM 1765BLUE TEAM 2020

  18. 18th – 23rd Challenges: Our last day and we are nearly there just seven challenges left, worried that we won’t make it! Relay race, find a geocache, island explorer, low ropes, skim stones and a boat race.

  19. Red team scored a mega 1170! Where as the Blue team scored a good 910 points. Making the red team just five points ahead ready for the last challenge!! RED TEAM 2935BLUE TEAM 2930

  20. LAST CHALLENGE!! • Tree climbing can all the members of the team climb a tree in 60 seconds? • Well Done to the Red Team you are the winners by just 5 points!!: • RED TEAM 3035 • BLUE TEAM 3030

  21. Thank you for all of you that have sponsored us we have managed to raise £2654.76!! This is truly amazing and really means a lot to me, and the Youth Club with Life skills, Coles Diner and Happy Days. But a big Thank you to all of you that took part the Red and Blue Team - I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!! I have a little something for each of you please come and get it! Thank you!!
