3. ABOUT UNIVERSITY Veer Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) Popularly known as VKSU is a fruit of the bifurcation of Magadh University. VKSU has since then performed steadily and bing a state university has seen few changes in the administrative part. The university is situated at Arrah and has colleges affiliated and constituent to it with the region. 6. HISTORY The University derives its name from the freedom fighter Veer Kunwar Singh and leader of the movement Indian Rebellion 1857. Moreover, the formation of the University goes back to 1992. The University was established in 1992 however it was considered a University only by the amendment to the act of 1976 in 1992. Furthermore, since then the university has contributed to the development of its constituent colleges. Notably, the university also has developed itself in many ways and aims to bring about further changes to fit and stand out in the era of everchanging societal demands. Likewise, the university has in its past has made affiliations with as many as four colleges and has contributed steadily towards 17 constituent colleges. One must also note that most of the colleges were earlier a part of Magadh University and at are part present VKS University. It should also be notable that Veer Kumar University is a result of the bifurcation of the Magadh University.

7. CAMPUS The campus of the university is in Arrah ( Ara). Some would debate of the campus being Urban however when comparing it to national standards find the location quite semi-urban and developing. The campus is quite big and houses facilities like administrative and academic blocks. The campus presently does not enjoy the liberty of being a cutting-edge provider of facilities however it is quite basic and satisfactory to the taste of locals. Altogether these departments offer as many as 21 programs and 444 courses. The latest placement records show that the highest salary in MBA stood at 3.5 Lac ( a dip of 1 lac from the previous year) moreover the highest BCA salary and BBA salary respectively stood at 2.5 and 2.9 Lac. The hostel is strictly maintained and discipline is always in place. Moreover, the hostel has neat, hygienic, and clean facilities available. Clean drinking water and furniture like cot for each inmate as well as table, chair, ceiling fan with regulator and reasonable light fitting are available at the university.
