Indian Bank was established in 1907 by S.RM. M. Ramaswami chettiar. It is one of the top-performing public banks in the country. Its headquarters are in Chennai, India. The ministry of finance of the govt. of India is responsible for regulating the India Bank.<br>The Indian Bank PO exam is conducted every year by Indian Bank to recruit aspirants who want to work as Probationary Officers in Indian Bank. <br>The selection process consists of three stages; Preliminary exam, Main exam, Interview round. <br>The eligibility criteria for the candidates are; any individual with a graduation degree.

  2. INTRODUCTION Indian Bank is one of the top-performing public banks in the country. At the same time, the bank was established in 1907 by S. Rm. M. Ramaswami Chettiar. However, its headquarters are in Chennai, India. The Ministry of Finance of the Government of India is responsible for regulating the Indian Bank.  The Indian Bank PO exam is conducted annually by Indian Bank to recruit aspirants who want to work as probationary officers in Indian Bank. Therefore, any individual with a graduation degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for reserved categories) can write the Indian Bank PO exam and become a probationary officer in the branches of the Indian Bank. The selection of candidates depends on three stages: • Preliminary Exam • Main Exam • Interview Round Besides that, a candidate first has to clear the preliminary exam to appear in the main exam. After qualifying for the main exam, the candidate will sit in the interview round. In addition to this, after passing the interview round, the candidate gets the offer to become a probationary officer. The final recruitment of the candidates will then take place as per the vacancy requirement of the bank. Consequently, each exam has a different syllabus related to English Language, Reasoning, Banking Awareness, and General Aptitude. 

  3. INDIAN BANK PO ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA Importantly, there is an eligibility criterion that Indian Bank sets. For that reason. Only candidates who clear the eligibility criteria can appear in the examination. Moreover, the eligibility criteria are selected based on the reserved categories candidates qualify reserved categories candidates, Age, and Nationality of the candidate.  The eligibility criteria are as follows: • Especially a candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university with a score of a minimum of 60% marks (55% for reserved categories). • Specifically, candidates of a minimum of 20 years of age can apply. (on the date of registration). However, the maximum period should be 30 years (on the date of registration). Meanwhile, age relaxation in the upper age is for candidates from the reserved categories. Also, to ensure that the candidate will take responsibility and complete the required tasks. For example, a candidate should have good oral and written communication skills. Not only this, but the candidate should also be good at logical and analytical thinking. Along with this, an excellent probationary officer should be a good team worker, have some leadership skills, and have an excellent positive attitude. Moreover, the Indian Bank PO Syllabus mainly consists of English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Banking Awareness, and Data Interpretation to judge the candidate on these parameters. However, the prescribed syllabus for both stages is different. For the initial stage, the topics include English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude.  The exam takes place in three stages, initial namely:- Preliminary Exam Main Exam Interview Round Each candidate must clear all three stages of the exam. The first candidate has to clear the preliminary exam, which will have 100 subjective type questions. Then, the candidate is given 1 hour to complete the main examination. After the prelims exam, a cut-off list gets rolled out by the Indian Bank. Candidates who clear the cut-off will then appear for the mains exam. The Indian Bank PO Mains exam will be of 200 marks and will have 155 objective-type questions. A descriptive exam will also be there after the main exam, in which the candidate will have to write an essay and a letter. The total duration of the mains exam will be 3 hours + 30 minutes for the descriptive exam.

  5. INDIAN BANK PO ADMIT CARD Moreover, the bank itself releases its admit card for eligible candidates only. Hence, those who have successfully registered themselves can only download the admit card from its official website. To get the admit card, candidates must keep their login credentials handy. Only after entering it can the candidate download the admit card. Admit cards become available only two weeks before the date of the Examination. Therefore, the candidate must download the admit card within the given time frame. After that, the link to download the admit card gets inactive. However, candidates get notifications about the availability of call letters via email and SMS. Therefore, every applicant must carry a Xerox copy of the call letter. Without it, the candidate can’t sit in the examination hall.  How to Download Indian Bank PO Exam Admit Card? Applicants can follow the step-by-step procedure for downloading the admit card. 1 – First, the candidate has to visit the official website, i.e., indianbank. in 2 – Now, select the link to ‘Download Indian Bank PO Admit Card from the homepage.’ 3 – Candidate will now enter your login credentials like Registration Number, Password/ Date of Birth, and click Submit.

  6. INDIAN BANK PO RESULT Overall the Indian Bank PO Results are calculated on the basis of the three stages. The Indian Bank PO exam takes place in three stages:- • Preliminary Exam • Mains Exam • Interview Round In addition, it’s mandatory to pass all three stages to be eligible for the post of probationary officer. Firstly the candidate has to qualify for the Preliminary examination which will have 100 questions. After this, the candidate needs to pass this exam to appear in the mains exam. In short, the conducting body releases the Indian Bank PO Result of both the prelims and the main exam on the Indian Bank’s official website. Additionally, the Indian bank PO Result gets released within seven days of the exam. However, the results are released in scorecard format. Moreover, the scorecard has scores of the candidate in different sections and also an overall score. In addition, there are two cut-offs that Indian Bank publishes. One is a section-wise cut-off, and the other is an overall cut-off. Thus, candidates need to clear both cut-offs to proceed to the next stage, i.e., Mains Exam.

  7. HOW TO CHECK THE INDIAN BANK PO RESULT? The Indian bank releases the results on its official website of Indian Bank. However, Indian Bank announces the results date in the official notification on the website.  Candidates need to follow the steps below:- 1: Open the official website of Indian Bank, i.e., indianbank.in. 2: Meanwhile, visit the go-to “Careers” section and click on “Indian Bank PO Result.” 3: Enter your Registration/Roll number to view the results.  4: Results will get displayed on the screen. Applicants can take a printout of the results. Candidates may have to log in using the roll number and Date of Birth. Then, follow the procedure and guidelines mentioned on the website to download the result.

  8. How To Apply? Step 1: Registration • Begin by visiting the Indian Bank’s official website, i.e., indianbank.in • Under the ‘Career’ tab, click on “PGDBF Program.” After that, click on “Apply Online for PO-Onboarding.” • In addition, the candidate has to fill in the basic personal details like name, mobile number, and email id. Then, carefully enter these details and click on register. • Meanwhile, after successful registration, the candidate will see a provisional registration number and password.  Step 2: Fill out the Application Form • First, log in using the provisional registration number and password. • After that, enter your personal and academic details carefully. • Also, the candidate now has to upload a recent passport size photograph and signatures. Specifically, the pictures should be as per the guidelines written in the notification. • After completing all the information asked in the form and uploading the documents, candidates will see a preview of their form. Therefore, probationary officers will get confirmation of their posts only after the completion of this period. Q.2 How many vacancies have been released? A.
