  1. Importing Standardized Test Scores • Dave Huckleberry,

  2. ISTEP • What do I need? • Original file from the testing website • What year and testing cycle the results are from

  3. How do I do it? • Guidance... Standardized Tests... ISTEP • Click the Import button • Pick which testing cycle the results are from • Select the CORRECT file • expects a .dat or a .txt file

  4. So what happens? • ISTEP scores are imported into the Standardized Test area of Harmony • If grade is 10 or higher GQE is marked as Yes • Pass, DNP, Pass+ is translated based on the value in the file • P = Pass+ • A = Pass • B = DNP • U = UND • N = DNR • The scores REPLACE the ISTEP scores on the student demographics

  5. How do I get them on transcripts? • Once imported the scores will automatically be on transcripts • IF you ONLY want GQE scores on transcripts you can choose that option on the System Profile • Transcripts... Only Show GQE

  6. ECA • What do I need? • Original file from the testing website • What testing cycle the results are from • What subject area the file is for

WAIT- Not Yet!! • Layout shows that the scale score should be in column U for 2010 results • Make sure the score is in U prior to running the import • Some have a “filler column” in U and real scores are in V- delete the “filler” column • Should be 50 columns in the file • Some have extra columns with random data- delete these • Import using the Spring 2010 import

  8. So what happens? • ECA scores are imported into the Standardized Test area of Harmony • Pass, DNP, Pass+ is translated based on the value in the file • The scores is ADDED to the ECA scores on the student demographics

  9. How do I get them on transcripts? • Once imported the scores will automatically be on transcripts if you have the ECA Transcript layout • If they are not on your transcripts and you want them to be.... • Contact Harmony Support and we can change your transcript format • WARNING- If you are using Docufide they will have to change your layout!

  10. MAP • What do I need? • The original file with the results • usually xls or csv

  11. How do I do it? • Actions..Utilities... Import New MAP data

  12. So what happens? • Scores are added to the Guidance... Standardized Tests... MAP ara

  13. Other Test Scores • Scores can only be imported if there is a STN in the file • These can be imported in the System Admin... Import Data area • If you want to do this contact support and we can help you set up your first import
