  5. Think about it… What do we want from our cleaning products? Remove the contaminant (including odors), bring back clean look and feel to surface Kill bacteria or fungi – to various levels depending on application Protect surface (e.g. floor wax) Minimize time & effort Affordable
  6. Myth Busters GCs are too expensive GCs are cost competitive. You may just need to think in terms of dilution ratios…. GCs don’t work GCs do work. Ask around; check out the case studies. Try more than one to find the best fit for your application. It’s too hard to change Help is available. Implementation Strategies Have an open discussion with all stakeholder representatives Consider before/after surveys Do site audits with product vendors and janitorial staff to “right-fit” green products Ensure new product training happens Have an open mind when problem-solving Have some patience if it takes more than one try to find the best green product for your application – it will be worth it

  12. WHY? WHY? WHY? Money – yours, mine and ours. Using the contract saves money. Health – yours, mine and ours. Using the products on contract reduces substantially the exposure of cleaners and building occupants to chemicals that can cause harm. Time – which is of course money and is yours mine and ours. The products on contract are in general the most efficient products available. (Efficiency is a very important consideration of green.) Prognostication – predicting future events based on facts, signs, past experience or other divining device. (Yes there are good green tissues) In none months you can’t remember what all the fuss was about.
