  11. Shared Humanity • Every person has dignity and is important to the community. When one person hurts another, the whole is hurt. When one person is forgiven, the community can be healed. • Every person is capable of great good and great evil. No one is born a rapist or murder. We all begin as children. Listening to the story is critical. • Everything can be forgiven. For a person, family, community, or nation to live in freedom, forgiveness must happen. “Forgiveness is truly the grace by which we enable another person to get up, and get up with dignity, to begin a new. “ Tutu
