  9. Create a new object and a dialog window will pop up. Give a new name and click ok and Pro/E will create an empty solid part.

  10. Click Sketch tool Choose sketch plane The Top datum is the sketching plane. The Right datum is the right side of the model.

  11. The default template has datum planes with the names Top, Front, and Right. • Create a rectangle

  12. Sketch file window: Defining the sketch plane and sketch orientation The datum plane front was highlighted in red. Pick the Sketch Tool button and the Sketch file open. Sketch mode will allow you to sketch in the XY plane and extrude in the Z direction.

  13. Show the dimensions-double click the middle of the mouse button(MMB).

  14. Double click on your dimension and change the value

  16. Click done Sketch menu can be floating beside main Pro/E window (Menu Manager)by clicking Sketch Intent Manager

  18. Surfacearea=e2 Where e is the edge Find the surface area by clicking on Analysis choose area and double click on the geometry plane (PRT001.prt).

  19. Click save a copy Save a copy

  20. What happens to the surface area of a cube in the length of each edge is doubled?

  21. The surface area is multiplied by 4
