Engineering Day for Year 10 Girls • Dragonfly Day offers a fantastic opportunity for schools to engage girls in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths [STEM]. • The day will: • Increase pupils’ interest and attainment in Science and Technology • Demonstrate the strong relationship between Science and Technology disciplines • Encourage problem-solving and completion of challenges within a given time • Promote and improve self-confidence, and communication and team-working skills • Indicate to pupils the learning pathways and wealth creating opportunities of a future involving science, mathematics, engineering or technology Dragonfly Research, design and build a shelter for use in refugee camps. Plus: Meet Engineers from a range of disciplines Talk to current students about university life and their journey so far.
