  1. Personal Enhancement This course is designed to be a lifetime skill course. It is meant to focus on an activity that a student can apply to pursuits beyond the classroom setting. Students are expected to design, implement and complete an individualized plan. This plan will integrate the goals of a personal physical education plan with participation in a student selected approved activity or school sponsored activity.

  2. Ideas…. • Take a class from a local recreation center. • Participate on a sport team. • Take private lessons; swimming, dance, karate, etc. • Attend the PE class at your district middle school. • Exercise with an adult on an approved exercise plan. • Develop your own plan with CVA Advisor approval. • Requirements: • Log of participation hours • Research and Personal Reflection Essays • Sports Introduction Activity

  3. Participation Log • Click on log and print up the log sheet. Keep track of your activity and have a parent or guardian sign each day of the activity. • When you have completed 65 hours, answer the questions below in complete sentences.

  4. Sports Introduction • Choose 3 sports you are interested in. • Research the history of the three chosen sports. • Take notes on your research • From your notes, write a two page essay. • Outline the rules of the chosen sports. • Draw a picture of the area that the sport is played in and label. • Watch a live, taped, etc., game of your chosen sport. • What teams where playing? • What was the outcome? • Did you enjoy the game or not, and why?
