  2. Of all the types of pains that one can experience, one of the most annoying types of pains is stomach pain. It can be extremely difficult to go through your day today activities if you have stomach pain. Most often, stomach pain is not a cause for serious concern or worry. it can be treated at home with home remedies. however if the stomach pain is chronic or extremely severe, it can be an indication of a severe underlying disease. it is therefore important to recognise what the signs and symptoms of a stomach pain are, and what steps one can take at home in order to solve this stomach pain, and when one should head to a hospital or consult a physician if their stomach pain does not get better. 

  3. Common Causes Of Stomach Pain  Most often, left side stomach pain is caused due to issues with digestion. Indigestion can lead to conditions such as development of gas which can cause significant pain in the stomach. Other common causes of stomach pain may be conditions such as food poisoning, indigestion, or irritable bowel syndrome.  Sometimes certain food intolerances can also lead to stomach pain. For instance for those who have celiac disease, gluten may cause stomach pain. Similarly, if somebody with lactose intolerance consumes a lot of dairy, this may lead to stomach pain as well.  For stomach pain that is caused due to dietary choices, the best way to combat it is to modify the diet in order to ensure that it doesn't affect the digestion process. Furthermore one can also take steps to improve their diet such as incorporating more protein and fibre in their diet, and avoiding those foods that lead to a trigger of the stomach pain.

When to see a doctor  if your stomach pain does not get better in a day or 2 or if it is severe or if it does not subside with a modification of your diet then it may be time for you to consult a physician. This is because a stomach pain maybe an indication of an underlying disease. Considering that it is better to be safe rather than sorry, it is ideal to visit a physician if your stomach pain is chronic in nature. Even if it is determined that there is no serious cause of your stomach pain, your physician may give you advice on how to deal with the pain better and what steps you can take to avoid it.
