  3. What is Holographic Living? • In Star Wars, Princess Leia sent a hologram of herself to Obi Wan Kanobi. It signaled a new way to communicate, with 3D perceptions. • As consultants get busy, they get "time sliced" between clients, like Dentists.. • Each job is like one facet of a jewel, and the many facets of a number of jobs show off your brilliance.

  4. Project Development Using Linear Thinking • Getting One Consulting Assignment: • Meet with Customer on some other subject. • Be seen as a valuable resource. • Ask customer for advice/opinion on issues. • Identify some goal you both have and show you know how to move there, with his help. • Ask for the job. • Do Planning needed to give good advice.

  5. Project Development Using Linear Thinking • Now that you HAVE the job, Arrange for contract, Deal with Administration & Accounts Payable, and all secretaries. • Anyone could hold up an invoice, each one should be pulling for you & making calls. • Submit invoices regularly on the sked THEY want. Include accomplishments summary. • Take time to think and read extensively on the subject in professional industry magazines, so you have good ideas.

  6. Holographic Living - Here’s a Baker’s Dozen of my projects. • 1. Part of Team for Supplying all Electronics for $5 Billion Ship, 1/2 Electronics. 13. Holographic Living with 10-15 Project Developments. • We need an “Inside-Out” PERT that shows our time distributed over the projects • Note NO PROJECT should be left unattended for very long, you might not be missed. • The PERSPECTIVE is holographic, but on any one project, you can think linearly briefly. • Another name for this activity could be Time Management of all you have to do.

  14. Holographic Living Some New Ideas to Consider. • Keeping notebooks: You need a separate notebook for each project. • A Palmtop computer of some kind helps you synchronize your diverse schedules • You may want to hook up with a temporary staff agency

  15. Holographic Living Conclusions • Some projects will be more fun than others. Keep track of the work that puts a SMILE on your face, even with the challenges. • Life is just more complicated than it used to be and we need to recognize the limitations of linear thinking and grab the concept of Holographic projections to see all our life activity in the proper perspective.
