  1. BUSINESS PLAN FONDATION UNIAPAC December 2010 Draft version 1

  2. Reminder: UNIAPAC Raison d’Être • UNIAPAC Uniqueness: Its membership anchored in the reality of the World Economy • UNIAPAC Beliefs: • The World Economy is made by the millions of enterprises which everyday produce, sell and create wealth in the economic system • The World Economy values are nurtured by the behaviors ,the values, and behaviors of these companies • Business leaders have now a paramount influence on their companies values and behaviors • CEOs have an ideal, but cannot be simply idealistics. They have to deliver in the reality of economy and the challenges of competition • It is a must for a Company to respect Man’s dignity , and that will be a most efficient value creator. Man’s respect is not an alibi for less efficiency : normally , au contraire, it will create best economic results

  3. FOUNDATION Mission • The Foundation is the International activity arm of UNIAPAC, fulfilling the following aims: • Support National Associations to better serve their members and to radiate well the Uniapac vision of the global economic system (ethics; common goods; creativity) • Support UNIAPAC Regional Offices to radiate UNIAPAC ´s vision at the Regional level • Support UNIAPAC drive to set associations in Regions and countries where it is not present, in a well structured way • Nourish UNIAPAC ´s vision of economic emerging issues • Represent UNIAPAC at International Institutions:UN;IFI´s • Radiate UNIAPAC vision at the Global level : a central sounding board for our Local ,National, Regional assocs.

  4. FOUNDATION links with UNIAPAC • The Foundation will remain anchored in the deep rooted uniqueness of UNIAPAC membership. It will develop tools and actions nourished by this concrete experience of the economy reality • Its governance warrants this link: • A Board comprising the UNIAPAC leadership • A regular interface with UNIAPAC Regional Offices which will approve supports required by the National Associations • A regular contact with National Associations to benefit from their concrete experience • Subsidiarity will be permanently implemented to carry actions ONLY at levels which National Associations and Regional Offices cannot reach

  5. FOUNDATION 2011 Priorities • 1: Create its identification and differentiation • Create an International networked Think Tank in support of National Associations and able to contribute to the world dialogue on the Economic System (globalization;ethics;mobility;social policies; etc. • Review with National Associations and Regional Offices their needs : with a particular emphasis on the deployment of UNIAPAC CSR • Create an open source web site to assure a sistematic link with UNIAPAC membership, and ,to become a reference for all external parties interested in our programs • 2: Animate a strong Donator Group • 3: Put in place the necessary administrative support • 4: build an efficient lobbying network with International Institutions (UN ; IFI´s ; others from the civil society ) • 5: Develop links with Universities to develop training programs and research workshops based on UNIAPAC´s vision of the economic system

  6. Identification and differentation : approach This is our first priority. Its requires building up immediately the necessary specialist staffing We shall search our proper indentity lines both in our Roots(80 years of history in 2011 ) and in the challenges that business leaders exercise in their daily decision-making process (feet on earth ; hard choices ; solutions for a variety of human needs ) The Plan for 2011 deals with 4 key areas : i.-making ourselves identifiable by building from our Roots ii.-making ourselves useful to the associations networks( subsidiarity) iii.-building a strong set of relevant programs iv.-assuring institutional sustainability (resources). -5-

  7. Donators animation • Goal: • The Organization of a Donators Club and Prize Awards by Fondation Uniapac.- • Diversifying our list of donors, and expanding the capital base of our institution, • Means: • Finding and maintaining a regular contact with the donators is the key role of the General Manager, the President and the Board. To provide a professionnal service it does require a dedicated administrative and relation support with the recruitment of an Assistant dedicated to this action. • Ressource • 1 part time Assistant to the Dir Gral for organizing donors : • A highly motivated cultured individual , probably at younger to mid age levels, that has the capacity to build data banks , survey donors , follow up on initial contacts , evaluate the disposition of them cooperating with our programs , build up the basis of a Club of donors , write letters and send emails and others to an enlarged base of high net worth business leaders , that can support us. • Languages proficiencies necessary , plus some international experience. • The help to the Director General on the initiative for an UNIAPAC PRIZE AWARD will also be evaluated. In 2011 , we rely only on this assitant for a transition , and, postpone to 2012 the Lobbying expert.
