  2. Reduction of green house gas emissions. • Hydroelectric power plants produce no air emissions. • Fuel is not burned when turning the generators, so there is hardly any pollution.

  3. Cost • Back Wood Solar is able to install hydro turbines for $6500, but after the turbines have been installed it is relatively low cost to maintain the systems. That is for relatively small power plants. • Large power plants cost large amounts of money, for example; the hover dam cost $165 million. But it more than made up the amount; “ Within the dam are 17 main turbines used to generate electricity for the nearby cities and two turbines used to generate electricity for the power plant. All 19 of these generators create 2,998,000 horsepower which translates into 4 billion kilowatt hours a year (enough to serve 1.3 million people ”

  4. Ease Of Use • I couldn’t find any information on this piece.

  5. Reliability • Hydroelectric energy is a very reliable source. • It produces predictable amounts of energy and as long as there is enough water in the dam/river, there will be a constant supply.
