To register for protective order service notification go to www.vinelink.com or www.registervpo.com
SAVIN/VINE provides information about change in custody status including release, transfer, move to work release or electronic home monitoring. This notification comes within 15 minutes of the information being entered into the jail booking computer. It is a public website and available to anyone.
This program is an important tool for a victim’s safety planning.
Although the two systems work the same way, the primary difference is the length of time from the serving of the protective order to notification. This can be anywhere from one hour to three days. Work with your local law enforcement agencies to get a sense of how long it takes to enter the service information into the WSP database.
