  4. ConsequencesAs a result of making poor choices a student is agreeing to one or more of the following consequences:

  5. Classroom Signal • “Give Me Five”- I will use this signal when you are working and I want to address the whole class. • Count Down- When we line up I will count backwards from 5 to 1. This gives you 5 seconds to end you conversations. If you are still talking or turned around after the count down then your card is pulled.

  6. Participation • You will often hear me talk about active learning. • Active Learning means that you are listening and thinking about what the teacher is teaching. • When a teacher asks a question, you think about the answer even if you have not been selected to answer the question. • You are raising your hand to tell the teacher an answer, add to discussion, or share if you are confused.

  7. Cooperation • In our classroom we will do many cooperative projects. • You are also put into partners to share a computer. • You should always treat your classmates with respect. • Listen to each other’s ideas and make compromises.
