  3. Situation • Women and children in Nepal are being forced into sex trafficking due to the harsh living conditions and lack of resources and assistance, therefore job creation and other aid from the United Nations needs to be done to change this situation.

  4. Definition • Human Trafficking is “a crime against humanity. It involves an act of recruiting, transporting, transferring, harboring or receiving a person through a use of force, coercion or other means, for the purpose of exploiting them.” (United nations office," 2011)

  5. In Nepal there are about 10,000 to 15,000 females of different ages that are taken from their home and forced to the sex trade annually (Hughes, Sporcic, Mendelsohn & Chirgwin, nd.).
