  3. Faithfulness in the Midst of InjusticeActs 25:1-27 Paul was faithful despite the injustice He explained to Felix & Drusilla faith in Jesus Christ proclaiming to them righteousness, self-control and the judgement to come Felix was curious, but not serious

  4. Festus Arrives in JerusalemActs 25:1 Festus was from a noble family. He was known to be wise & honorable and was diligent to take action Festus lacked knowledge & experience in Jewish affairs

  5. The Accusations & Plot of the JewsActs 25:2-5 With the change in governors, killing Paul was still a top priority for the Jewish leaders They ask for Paul to be brought to Jerusalem for trial – to be ambushed Festus had other plans & invites them to Caesarea to prosecute Paul

  6. Paul’s AccusersActs 25:6-7 Festus returns to Caesarea & holds the trial the next day Paul’s accusers physically surround him and make serious charges. They still have no witnesses / proof

  11. Paul’s Appeal to CaesarActs 25:10-12 Nero will become infamous later (A.D.64,65) for his cruelty and persecution of Christians – but Nero’s early rule was considered a “golden age” By God’s providence, Paul will go to Rome under Roman protection and at Roman expense

  16. Conclusions Paul did not refuse to appear Paul took advantage of every opportunity to proclaim the gospel. Paul was faithful even in the midst of injustice – so must we.
