  2. 1 John 1:9-10,“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.”

  4. Prov 3:5,“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.”

  5. Proverbs Chapter 14Section III, Vs. 16-32“Walking by Faith in the Sight of Others.”

  6. Contrasts in Character and Consequences Regarding Life or Death, vs. 25-32.

  7. The Patient Vs. Impatient,vs. 29-30.

  8. Verse 29“Slow to anger” – The Hebrew idiom “long-nosed,” AREK APH = the patient believer.

  9. The Blessing! “great understanding” RAV TEBUNAH They have great wisdom, understanding and insight to the situation(s) at hand.

  10. The Contrast.“Quick-tempered” QASTAR RUACH “Short spirited or short breath”= the impatient person.

  11. The Consequences!Their emotions lead them to “exalt folly,” RUM IWWELETH

  12. Verse 30This proverb escalates the facial countenance of patience to its inner calm and tranquil disposition.

  13. A calm soul brings health to the body, especially in avoidance of emotions that bring sickness to the body.

  14. The Contrast, “Passion is rottenness to the bones.” Like cancer or gangrene that rots the most firm components of the body and shortens a person’s life.

  15. Principles of Patience:1. The real character of our faith is determined by our patience. A patient person is willing to wait upon the Lord and will be slow to anger, Prov 14:29.

  16. 2. Patience with others will help you resolve and reconcile differences, Prov 15:18.

  17. 3. Patience gives the believer fantastic strength under pressure, Prov 16:32.

  18. 4. Patience will enable you to be discrete and overlook the sins of others, Prov 19:11.

  19. 5. The Pastor/Teacher is told that he must have extreme patience with members of his congregation, 2 Tim 4:2.

  20. 6. Patient with others: not holding them accountable for their wrongs knowing they too have an OSN and you must forgive them as God has forgiven you of all your sins.

  21. 7. Patience allows us to rest in the Lord and let the Supreme Court of Heaven handle any unfair or unjust treatment, Psa 37:7.

  22. 8. Patience gives us the strength and power to handle undeserved suffering and maltreatment and bring glory to the Lord, 1 Peter 2:19-20.

  23. 9. The slow to anger have a tranquil heart while the quick tempered are run by their emotions.

  24. 10. This believer has great wisdom and understanding that brings life to their body, while the emotional believer exalts folly that brings rottenness and decay to his bones.

  25. 11. They have a RMA towards the details of life, while the impatient, quick to anger, and emotional believer is a slave to the details of life that cause all kinds of mental and physical aliments.

  26. 12. Having God’s Word and the Faith-rest drill tested in your life gives you patience. We need patience when it comes to claiming the promises of God, Eph 4:1-3; Heb 10:36.

  27. Heb 10:36,“For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”
