Introduction • We are creating a set of new multi-platform 3D applications for ATLAS. • Public appreciation of the scientific goals of ATLAS; • Attract and Retain next generation of Scientists and educators.
Part 1: 3D Tour of ATLAS Point1 • The 3D world • The real photo • A “newly decorated” underground
Part 2: 3D view of ATLAS Detector • People can easily create high quality and unique photos or videos their presentation to introduce ATLAS with this 3D interface.
Part 3: 3D view of ATLAS real events • This can help people to view ATLAS real events in web browser or on their mobile devices. • This can be used formasterclasses. • It also can be used to do physics analysis.
Part 4: New 3D ATLAS game • It’s multi-platform game which can be played on pc, mac, webpage, mobile phone, etc.. • People can easily understand what ATLAS has done and what ATLAS is doing and what ATLAS will do..
Supported platforms-- People can see 3D ATLAS with any of them --
Fully supported by the new 3D hardware-- People can see ATLAS in real 3D with 3D monitor, TV, Projector --
The demo version is available now • The web version: • http://wisconsin.cern.ch/~nengxu/ATLAS_3d/ • The standalone version(Windows): • http://wisconsin.cern.ch/~nengxu/Build.rar • ‘W’ is moving forward, ‘A’ is moving left, ‘S’ is moving backward, ‘D’ is moving right.Hold your mouse left button to move the camera. • Any question or suggestion, please contact Neng.Xu@cern.ch
