Reminders • Monday, 9/16/13, iObservation • Classroom Teachers: Domains 1-4 • Non-Classroom Teachers: Domains 2-4 • October, 2013 • Non-Classroom Teachers: Domain 1 (3 versions) • Pending matters… • Datamark Requirements (classroom/non-classroom teachers) • Weights for Ratings (ex. Innovating = 4pts) • Scales for HE, E, NI, U (HE = TBD 4.00) • Stick to the Rubric !

Pre-Conferencing Guidelines • Conduct preconference with every teacher before the 1st formal. • Give 2 school days notice prior to the date of pre-conference. • Probationary Teachers • 1st pre-conference is face-to-face. • Experienced Teachers • May be submitted electronically. • Maybeheld face-to-face, if requested.

  4. Additional Reminders A post-conference must take place within ten work days after every formal observation. Enter all datamarks within ten days of the observation/meeting. All observations “count towards evaluation.” iObservation Change Request Form available on Employee Evaluations websiteunder iObservation Information.

  5. System Enhancements All observations will trigger an email to the teacher. Observation will appear as Needs Attention when an observer logs in. Teachers must acknowledge the observations. Teachers have the ability to enter comments after an observation was done. Their comments will be displayed within the observation.

Performance Concerns • Based on Beginning/Not Using Datamarks • Step 1: Conversation, share concerns/expectations • Step 2: Cycle of assistance/memo stating a possible PDP • Step 3: Monitor progress and contact Evaluation Coordinator/possible PDP • Employee Evaluations Department will provide weekly updates to principals. • Peer Reviewer Assistance • Will be deployed by our department based on Beginning/Not Using Datamarks.

  8. Additional Metric Required as part of RTTT. Requirement states score is a portion of the Instructional Practice Score. District/BTU working together on an Additional Metric. We are receiving questions about PGPs, Deliberate Practice…..More details to come!

VAM Scores • Ready for dissemination in October. • Automatically uploaded into iObservation. • Teachers’ 2012-2013 final evaluation will be retrieved at school site by the administrators. • Automatically uploaded into database for the administrators’ 2012-2013 final evaluation. • Principal Final Evaluations sent to Directors. • AP Final Evaluations emailed to Principals.
