  3. Finding Funding opportunities • ResearchProfessionalis • a database of 9000+ research funding opportunities, pre-filtered for accessibility to Australian-based applicants, provided FREE of charge to anyone with an ‘@UTS’ email address uts.edu.au

  4. Accessing the site • To login: • Go to www.researchprofessional.com • Enter - • Username: [your UTS email address – should be lower-case] • Password: UTS123 [please change this next time you login] • Remember: RP is case sensitive! uts.edu.au

  5. Searching for funding • Simple search • Keyword/s in free text (Google-style) – RP suggests search terms that match yours as you type (disciplines, funders, award types, free text) • Advanced search? • Criteria in combination – lets you build complex searches and fine-tune your results • e.g. Discipline + Type of award + Closing date + Award amount + Category…. uts.edu.au

  6. Saving a search/bookmarking • Click on the ‘Save’ button to save any search that gives you useful results • Click on the ‘Bookmark’ button to save specific opportunities • Your personal saved searches and bookmarks appear on the RHS uts.edu.au

  7. Creating an email alert • Save a search • ‘Save and alert’ button – new results (if any) that match your search criteria will be sent automatically every Friday evening uts.edu.au

  8. Don’t FORGET • …to change your generic ‘UTS123’ password uts.edu.au
