RFP Information • Website: www.sctcc.edu/rfp • Eleven RFP’s • All are identical EXCEPT Section 3, Vendor Requirements, which starts on Page 8 of each RFP • DOL AME Grant Consortium • Central Lakes College • Pine Technical College • St. Cloud Technical and Community College • 360 Center of Excellence in Manufacturing and Applied Engineering

  4. RFP Information • Important Dates • Questions Due by 11 AM CST on Friday, July 26 • Answers Posted by 4 PM CST on Monday, July 29 • Proposals Due by 2 PM CST on Tuesday, August 6

RFP Information • General Selection Criteria • Understanding of issues, project objectives, and expectations. • Quality and completeness of the response strategy in relation to the objectives. • Availability of the respondent to meet the timeline required to complete the work. • Quality and experience of the vendor proposed for this evaluation. • Cost effectiveness. • Previous customer equipment installations and references.

RFP Information • Scoring Criteria • Cost (25%) • Work Plan, including Meeting Equipment Specifications, Delivery and Installation Timeline, and Service and Training Support (20%) • Applicability for Teaching and Training in Advanced Manufacturing Programs of Study (20%) • Compatibility with Existing Equipment and Adherence to Space and Facility Requirements (20%) • References from Previous Colleges and Companies with Similar Equipment Installations and Personnel Qualifications of Individual(s) Responsible for Implementation of this Proposal (15%)

  7. Vendor Requirements • Equipment Must Be Fully Compliant with Local, State, and Federal Codes • Proposals Must Include Shipping, Installation, and Instructor / Operator Training

  8. Vendor Requirements • New or Used Equipment Is An Option • For Used Equipment • Late Model • Good Condition • Current Technology • Warranty Required • Warranty and Service / Maintenance Contract Terms Must Be Included for New and Used

  9. Vendor Requirements • Vendor May Provide Proposals on Individual Items in RFP; It Is Not Required to Include Entire Package of a Given RFP • Vendor May Have Limited Quantities Available • Vendor May Have a Lesser Number of Qualified Used Equipment • Vendor May Only Sell Certain Items • For Example, Robots Are Included as Part of Several RFP’s(Welding, Plastics)

  10. Vendor Requirements • Specify Any Quantity Discounts • For Example, Up to 8 Units Requested • Price for 1 • Price for 4 or More

  11. Vendor Requirements • Variations from Specifications Must Be Noted and Outlined • Explain How Product Meets Performance Requirements • Give Details on Advantages

  12. Vendor Requirements • Quantities May Vary and Are Subject to Fund Availability and Overall Compatibility of Plan • Consortium Will Make Decisions Based on Support of DOL AME Grant Objectives

  13. RFP Submission • Submission Details: Section VI, RFP Responses • Pricing and Terms Must Be Valid for 90 Days • No Purchases without DOL Approval
