Scary Statistics • In 3,795 church teens throughout US & Canada • 66% lied to a parent, teacher or other adult. • 60% lied to their peers. • 33% cheated in an exam. • 25% smoked a cigarette. • 20% tried to physically hurt someone. • 12% had gotten drunk. • 10% had used illegal, non-prescription drugs.

Worldview of Friendship • someone who will support you • someone you can trust and who won’t judge you • someone who won’t put you down • someone who is kind and has respect for you • someone whose company you enjoy • someone who can laugh when you do • someone who is willing to stick around • someone who is there to listen • someone who will cry when you cry.

  6. Definition of Friendship • One who multiplies joys, divides grief, and whose honesty is inviolable. • One who understands our silence. • A volume of sympathy bound in cloth. • A watch that beats for all time and never runs down.
