  11. Prescribing case • Patrick Jessop is a 50 year old man admitted with increasing back pain. You see from his medical notes that the pain is a result of an RTA a year ago. • PMH: Asthma • DH: Salbutamol MDI 2p QDS Paracetamol 1g QDS Codeine 30mg QDS PRN • Prescribe his regular medicines and review his pain relief

  12. Part 2 You have started Patrick on analgesia from step 2 of the analgesic ladder but he is still scoring 8/10 on a pain score Review his analgesia and prescribe appropriately
