  1. The Whole God’s Armour Ephesians 6:10-20

  2. FINALLY… …be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might… (Ephesians 6:10)

  3. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4) “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment…” (1 John 4:18)

  4. THE AIMS of GOD’S ARMOUR (Ephesians 6:11-12) - To stand against the schemes of the devil, - Facing the spiritual forces, and - To stand in the evil day, stand firm.

  5. “…we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds” (2 Corinthians 10:3-4)

  6. The devil, the flesh and the mind are our enemy, not other people. We are told to be followers of Jesus. We fight not to destroy but to build up. To persuade those who are opposed to God. Everyone must choose a side, this fight will include everyone.

  7. The Belt of Truth It gives strength and stability. When you are girded with truth, everything else is held in place. The belt of truth allows you to be honest. It keeps you from disobeying God’s Word. “Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth” (John 17:17) “…Love rejoices in truth…” (1 Corinthians 13:6)

  8. The Breastplate of Righteousness It calls for you to possess a heart after God. Righteousness can be defined as obedience to God. Cover your heart with obedience to God. “…let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation” (1 Thess. 5:8, see also Philippians 3:9) “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Proverbs 4:23)

  9. Gospel of Peace We should walk in peace and not be distracted by anything that is in our way. The gospel allows us to focus on the battle. The gospel of Peace is the gospel of the Kingdom (Matthew 4:23), Jesus Christ (Mark 1:1), and Grace of God (Acts 20:24). “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who published salvation, who says, ‘Your God reigns’” (Isaiah 52:7, see Romans 10:15)

  10. Shield of Faith Faith is our shield, because our faith in Christ allows us to be indestructible. Faith in the power of Christ, and his authority and the authority he puts in you allows you to be stronger than anything Satan throws at you. “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” (Isaiah 54:17) “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1)

  11. Helmet of Salvation The word salvation is defined as being saved, or protection from harm. The helmet of the soldier protects him. It protects us from anything Satan throws at us, and it allows us to see clearly. It also protects our minds, and keeps us from being distracted by things of this world. “have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16, see Romans 12:2)  “He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak” (Isaiah 59:17)

  12. Sword of the Spirit Everybody knows why we use a sword. It is both to protect and attack, and the Sword in the Armour of God is the Word of God. “For the word of the Lord is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit” (Hebrews 4:12) “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (1 Tim 3:16, see also Ephesians 4:12)

  13. Sword of the Spirit Everybody knows why we use a sword, to protect and attack, and the Sword in the Armor of God is the Word of God. “For the word of the Lord is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit” (Hebrews 4:12) “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (1 Tim 3:16, see also Ephesians 4:12)

  14. Praying in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplications. Prayer allows us to become closer to God. When we pray to God we acknowledge things, our wants, our faults, our desires, and when we acknowledge them, and give them to God, we open up the door for God to work. “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith” (Matthew 21:22 )

  15. And also for me… “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,…” (1 Cor 10:4-5)

  16. “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, be able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will” (2 Timothy 2:24-26)
