  2. What is a wanted poster? A wanted poster is a poster distributed to let the public know of an alleged criminal whom authorities wish to apprehend. The poster will usually include a description of the wanted person and the crime(s) for which he/she is sought.

What is an M.O.? • Latin: modus operandi • Approximately translates to “method of operation” • The term is used to describe someone’s habits or manner of working • Example: “Suspect 1 approaches and engages the victim in conversation. Suspect 2 places hand within bag carried by victim while victim is distracted and steals belongings”

  7. Your Task Watch out! Direct Variation is on the loose! Your task is to create a wanted poster to help us capture Direct Variation. In order to have an effective wanted poster, you must include each of the below elements. Once you have completed your poster, fill in the self-assessment column on the below rubric, and staple your poster to this paper.

Elements of Wanted Poster • “Wanted” title or banner • Name • You can use “Direct Variation,” or you can be more creative • Picture of Direct Variation • You must include a picture of a graph, but you can add creative touches to the graph or include other pictures in addition to the graph • Description of Direct Variation • You must include at least 3 things that describe Direct Variation
