  1. It was more than 50 years ago, that Rothmund began to supply the Austrian Army with engine components. The company which was founded in 1938 originally came from the automotive business and is still one of the leading providers of engine parts in Austria and the bordering Eastern European Countries. Because of their allied nature the military goods fitted very well into the portfolio of Rothmund and became a core competence within a short period of time. Over the years, more and more international defence companies were integrated into the program of Rothmund and have been successfully built up within the austrian market. It was in 1984, when the therefore necessary effort had grown to an extent, that the defence agencies were outsourced from Rothmund and combined in another company - ROTAY.   2. Corporate Structure ROTAY is a commercial agency active in the defence industry. The company consists of 3 divisions, under which the representations are combined and belaboured: The SYSTEMS area provides solid, sustained and technologically advanced system solutions for military and governmental purposes. The VEHICLE SUPPORT segment contains international market leading groups of companies experienced in technical support, maintenance and upgrading of tracked and wheeled armoured vehicles. The MAN SUPPORT division aims at supporting the individual soldier with leading edge technologies to facilitate concentrating on the main thing - The Mission! With the STW 90 (8x8 and 8x4), IWS offers the first road tanker for loaded sea and land- transport of mineral oil products (optional: plane) with a capacity of 18.000 liters. (top and bottom loading) With this innovative concept, IWS is independent of chassis manufacturers and able to protect the driving cab of this long haul vehicle by a modular composite protection kit. A second road tanker (4x4) is currently being developed. Located in Bremerhaven, Comet is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Diehl Corporation. The companies abilities range from planning and calculating a depot level facility, building up a new or modernize an existing facility, depot level repair and overhaul of vehicles, (sub)-assemblies and components to developing and performing upgrade concepts and modifications for a legacy vehicle fleet.
