3. Verify Equipment • Power on compressor • Power dental unit • Attach air/water syringe • Test air/water syringe • Hook up handpieces • Highspeed • Slowspeed

4. Verify Equipment • Run water through handpieces • 30 seconds

5. Verify Equipment • Confirm functionality of dental chair • Move up and down • Tip back and up • Confirm functionality of light • Test suction • High volume • Low volume

6. Disinfect Operatory and Equipment • Wipe equipment and unit before seating patient • Surfaces exposed to aerosol and splatter • Touched surfaces • Touched instruments • All dental chairs • Keep operatory uncluttered!
