CFE, an education-chartered credit union, is committed to improving education quality for Central Florida students. Through initiatives like A Gift for Teaching, CFE provides essential supplies to teachers and students in impoverished areas across Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. Notable efforts include supply drives, fundraising events, and community partnerships, leading to over 47,000 donated items in three years. Strategy As an education-chartered credit union, CFE continues to seek ways to support and improve the quality of education for Central Florida students.
A Gift for Teaching • A FREE store where teachers shop for supplies for needy students • Central Florida area – Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties • Benefits schools in the most impoverished areas • Majority of students are on reduced and free lunch program • Benefits teachers
CFE’s Initial Role • Initiated a supply drive - 2003 • Members and employees • June 15 – July 31 • Donated 11,074 items to AGFT • Supply drive – 2004 • Donated 13,074 items to AGFT • Joined AGFT & Orlando Mayor for Supply Drive Day • Donor for new facility included permanent name display on room • CFE’s president and CEO joins Board of AGFT
