Unit 2 Assessment: Letter to Pen Pal • For your assessment for this unit, you will write a letter to a pen pal, in Spanish. • You must include the following in your letter: • Proper structure (letter format) • Proper components (salutation, body, and closing) • Information about yourself • Your name, your age, your birthday, where you are from, the weather where you are from, a description of things you like/don’t like to do, and a description of your personality and physical traits • 8-10 sentences • Questions about your pen pal • Ask your pen pal’s age, birthday, what the weather is like where he/she is from, what he/she likes to do, and what he/she is like (personality and physical traits) • 5-6 questions

Group work (groups of 4) • Turn your desks so you are in groups of four. • You and your partners will work to create a list of what each of you needs to include in your letter. • Then, begin to write your ideas in Spanish. • When you are ready, begin to write your rough draft of your letter. • *Ask Ms. Mohamed if you need loose leaf. • *Make sure you include a complete heading!
