  6. Total Heat Transfer • The assumptions that we made are for normal conditions (light breeze and average temperature outside). What if the conditions are not normal? • How much does the Rate of Heat Transfer Change with a higher Convective Coefficient? • How much does the Outside Temperature Effect the Rate of Heat Transfer?

  7. What happens when we vary the outside convective coefficient? • It is interesting to note that the outside convective coefficient has little effect on the Heat Transfer through the Wall and a much greater effect on the Heat transfer through the Window. • It is also interesting to note that once you reach a convective coefficient of 35 W/m2k, it has little effect on the Heat Transfer.

  8. What happens when we vary the outside temperature? • This graph shows that once you reach a certain temperature the direction of the Heat transfer changes (this is intuitive, but still good to recognize). • The temperature also plays a huge factor in the overall heat transfer.
