  12. CARACTERÍSTICAS MORFOLÓGICAS E FISIOLÓGICAS Padrão Básico: Exoesqueleto + Articulações (patas, antenas, pinças, palpos, peças bucais). Triblásticos, celomados, protostômios, simetria bilateral e segmentados. Corpo dividido em: Cabeça, tórax e abdome // Cefalotórax e abdome // Cabeça e tronco. Todos possuem Antenas (Órgãos sensoriais e olfativos). Exceto aracnídeos. Os insetos são os únicos que apresentam asas. Reprodução: Sexuada, dióicos com fecundação interna. Desenvolvimento: Direto ou Indireto. Alguns possuem partenogênese. Sistema digestivo completo, o circulatório é aberto com o coração dorsal e o nervoso é ganglionar e ventral. Sistemas respiratório e excretor variam de acordo com as adaptações ambientais.
