Morning Routines
  • Jackets/PE kits placed into lockers
  • Water bottle in the tray
  • Book bag on table on entry to classroom
  • 8:30 Head out onto the playground
  • 9:00 Register seated on class carpet area
  • Children can be on the bus as soon as you are happy.
  • There is a member of staff to help them off the bus
  • Children are Escorted to the bus in the evenings by members of staff.
  • Please ensure they have a bus tag on their book bag, so we know they are on the bus and which bus they will be on.

  • PE- Monday and Thursday
  • Golden Worship on Friday at 2:45pm (Parents will be contacted prior)


  • Reading and writing numbers to 20.
  • Count in 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s.
  • Identify one more and one less
  • Know number bonds to 20.
  • Use language of ‘more than’, ‘most’
  • Use +, - and =symbols
  • Add and subtract numbers

Geometry and Measure

  • Use common vocabulary for comparison, heavier, taller etc.
  • Begin to measure length, capacity and weights
  • Recognise coins and notes
  • Recognise and name common 2D and 3D shapes
  • Describe position and movement
  • Tell the time to the hour and half hour
  • Use the language of days, weeks, months and years

Form lowercase letters correctly

Form capital letters and digits

Compose sentences orally before writing

Read own writing to peers or teachers


Match graphemes for all phonemes

Read accurately by blending sounds

Read words with very common suffixes

Read contractions and understand purpose

Read phonics books aloud

Link reading to own experiences

Join in with predictable phrases

Make simple predictions

  • Explore the main events of the fire
  • Investigate Charles II and his part in the introduction of the Fire Brigade.
  • Compare and contrast changes in to the fire brigade after the fire and modern fire divisions.
  • Subjects being covered Design Technology/ Art/ History and Computing.
