  1. Pisces, The Fish By Sarah Miller

  2. The Legend The Greek Gods of love, Aphrodite and Eros had been fleeing from the monster Typhon that had forced the Gods of Olympus to flee, frightened they leapt into the river and assumed the forms of fish. Afraid to lose track of each other, Aphrodite had tied their tails together with a length of rope. Later, only when Typhon was defeated by Zeus, the gods had weaved the stars to create the Zodiac animals. Each animal had been what each god had taken form of to escape Typhon. The two tied fish, Pisces, among them.

  3. Facts on the Constellation • Declination-+8 degrees • Right Ascension-0hrs • September is the best month to view Pisces • Pisces is one of the Constellations in the ‘Ocean’ section of the Sky • Its other names are Nunu, Amhik, and Balik, all of whom mean ‘fish’

  4. Pisces Brightest stars • Even though Pisces is a very dim constellation it still has two very bright stars. • Eta-Piscium-or Alpherg, is a G giant star almost three hundred times brighter than our sun • Gamma-Piscium-A large yellow gas giant in the same fish as Eta-Piscium

  5. Pisces in the Modern Era • Allegedly, Astronomers say we have just finished the Age of Pisces in the year 2000 or about the mid-1900s • Sometimes, people have a little trinket, of a simple stick-figure fish that is a reference to the Pisces, which also refers to Christ, born at the beginning of the Age of Pisces • It is more than often associated with the Vernal Equinox, because of their unique alignment

  6. Popular belief • Astrologists believe that those born under the sign of Pisces are sensitive, compassionate, some even say, hard-working, that they hold a ‘talent’ for re-adjusting themselves to slip into the background, like how water fills a jar. But they are very modest and shy, especially on stage. One reason is because Pisces remembers pain more distinctly than any other emotion
