  5. 1 美国图书馆未成年人服务特点 1.1 历史悠久 美国图书馆针对青少年提供的服务可溯至1803 年：康州Salisbury 小镇因Caleb Bingham 先生捐出150册图书，专供9 -16 岁青少年使用，特地成立了宾汉青少年图书馆 但该服务发展缓慢，至1930 年代专门的青少年服务馆员与部门才渐渐增多 Anthony Bernier and others, ed.Two Hundred Year of Young Adult Library Services History : a Chronology

  6. 1950 年代，虽然有些美国图书馆已开辟青少年服务区域，但是这些区域空间小又邻近安静的阅读区，不适合办活动，青少年在此区并不自在。 Nolan Lushington，Wills N.
