CJJ and National Juvenile Justice Systems Reform • CJJ is National Non-Profit Association in its 25th year representing governor-appointed advisory groups on juvenile justice • Promotes best policies and practices in delinquency reduction and prevention • Educates public and advises policy makers

CJJ and National Juvenile Justice Systems Reform • Assists states and territories in meeting core requirements of JJDPA • Advocates for effective and needed system reforms to improve quality of care for children and families • Links national, state and local advocates and organizations, across many disciplines, to pursue common mission

CJJ and State Three Year Plans • CJJ has as its goal to assist states to improve the quality and sustainability of their Three-Year Plans • CJJ recently published “Best Practices Bulletin” on writing Detention Reform into State Three-Year Plans • CJJ supports Reclaiming Futures as an empirically supported model for diverting youth from the juvenile justice system into needed community-based services

CJJ and State Three Year Plans • CJJ is actively working to support a positive youth development framework for juvenile justice delinquency prevention in the JJDPA • CJJ continues to work with the 111th Congress to ensure a strengthened and sustainable JJDPA and to maximize appropriations to support delinquency prevention best practices in states and territories • For more information please visit www.juvjustice.org
