  2. “Go into all the world” • Evangelist: Philip at Samaria (Acts 8:4-13) • Apostles: Peter/John at Samaria (14-25)

  3. “Go into all the world” • Philip’s preaching: • The Christ: from Moses (Acts 8:5) • The Kingdom of God: from the prophets (12) • The Name [Authority] of Jesus Christ (12)

  4. “Go into all the world” • Samaritan’s response: • They heeded with one accord (Acts 8:6) • They believed the message (12) • They were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus (16)

  5. “Go into all the world” • Simon’s conversion: • Simon believed (Acts 8:13) • He was baptized • He continued with Philip • He asked Peter to pray to the Lord for him (23-24)

  6. “Go into all the world” • Holy Spirit’s bestowal: • The presence of apostles (14) • Prayer (15) • The laying on of the apostle’s hands (17-18)

  7. To preach Christ is to teach that Jesus is currently Christ [King] & Lord in the Kingdom of God, as the prophets foretold. • To preach Christ is to explain the necessity for baptism immediately following belief in the gospel. • A Christian may sin & be lost, but God will forgive him through repentance & prayer. • The laying on of the apostles’ hands dispensed the miraculous power of the Holy Spirit.
