  1. Viral Spiral A twist of flavours.

  2. We surveyed 35 people about our new product ‘Viral Spiral’. The following results were recorded

  3. Charity The Charity we have chosen is St Vincent's Hospice. St Vincent's Hospice provides specialist care for those living with cancer and other life limiting illnesses. The reason we have chosen St Vincent's Hospice is because they are an amazing company who do what ever they can to help the local communities including, Johnston Elderly Centre and Charity Shops.

  4. Our sustainability vision “Deliver for today, inspire for tomorrow” In line with the Coca-Cola sustainability plan we came to the conclusion that 48% of emissions came from packaging alone therefore it is a big issue. Coca- Cola now use 5% less aluminium on their cans. The ‘can wall’ is now the same thickness as a human hair as shown in the table above. The cans are now made out recycled aluminium which saves up to 95% of the energy required to manufacture aluminium from it’s raw form.

  5. costings and pricing Packaging – recycled aluminium – 10p per container £0.10 x 2 for 1 litre = £0.20 £0.20 x 900000 litres = £180000 Labels and other packaging – 2p per container £0.02 x 2 for 1 litre = £0.04 £0.04 x 900000 =£ 36000 Total packaging = £216000 Ingredients (all sourced from Europe) 50ml apples - £0.15 per litre - £0.15/1000 = £0.00015 per ml £0.00015 x 50 =£0.0075 per 500ml can - £0.015 per litre - £0.015 x 900000 litres = £13500 100ml raspberries - £0.15 per litre - £0.15/1000 = £0.00015 per ml £0.00015 x 100 =£0.015 per 500ml can - £0.03 per litre - £0.03 x 900000 litres = £27000 50ml pear - £0.15 per litre - £0.15/1000 = £0.00015 per ml £0.00015 x 50 =£0.0075 per 500ml can - £0.015 per litre - £0.015 x 900000 litres = £13500 50ml sweetener - £120 per 1000 litres - £0.12 per litre - £0.00012 per ml £0.00012 x 50 ml = £0.006 per 500ml can - £0.012 per litre - £0.012 x 900000 = £10800 250ml water (purified) - £150 per 5000 litres - £0.03 per litre - £0.00003 per ml £0.00003 x 250ml = £0.0075 per 500ml can - £0.015 per litre - £o.o15 x 900000 = £13500 Labour £120 per hour for manufacturing 500 cans per minute – 1800000 containers required 3600 minutes required 60 hours required x £120 = £7200 required Distribution £500 per 200000 cans – 1800000 cans required 1800000/200000 = 9 9 x £500 =£ 4500 TOTAL PACKAGING = £216000 TOTAL COSTS = £656000 TOTAL INGREDIENTS = £78300 cost per can = £656000/1800000 = £0.36 TOTAL LABOUR = £7200 TOTAL DISTRIBUTION = £4500 MARKETING COSTS = £350000 Suggested selling price = £0.50 Profit per can = £0.14 Total profit = £252000 £0.01 to charity –total = £1800 to charity New total profit = £250200

  6. Why Should Coca Cola Invest In Our Product? Coca-Cola should invest in our product because it is a new modern sleek can design with ring pull mechanism and contains a unique combination of flavours. We would make £201,600 profit even if we sold 80% of our produce. When we are older we would like to be entrepreneurs and this would be our chance. The chance of a lifetime.
