Having grown weary of "easy" victories, "The Tumbler" desires to knock out a stronger opponent. He learns of an American nicknamed "The Saw" and his ravishingly beautiful girlfriend Kathryn on the news. He falls in love with her and decides to win her heart by defeating "The Saw". While training for the fight, he gets to know the trainer Semjonych and a young ballerina, who he falls in love with in an instant.
